Networking with the Nouveau Riche Community

One of the greatest Nouveau Riche benefits is its community of learners and leaders. Community, camaraderie and connections are essential elements of business success. For decades, Americans have admired the rugged individualists who pull themselves up to success through grit and hard work. But in today’s business environment, while determination and a strong work ethic are part of the success formula, the real key boils down to something else: relationships with other people.

Obviously, developing and maintaining good relationships with clients are critical. But peel back the layers of that onion. Where did you find the customer? How did you know how to make the approach? Who taught you each step along the way? Chances are you didn’t figure out all that on your own. You did it through your relationships.

The Nouveau Riche Community is filled with relationships of all kinds. Friends, peers, service providers, instructors, mentors and coaches, all play a role in each other’s long-term success. But the bonds that form between peers are some of the most surprising and rewarding. That’s because these relationships not only foster business success, they often develop into meaningful and lasting friendships.

Nouveau Riche leaders educate, mentor, encourage and recognize members for their efforts. The education and encouragement are personal, and they’re part of the Nouveau Riche culture. Instilled by the co-founders, the Nouveau Riche Community is filled with “pay-it-forward” and “giving” attitudes. This generous spirit is evident at team get-togethers and charitable events, such as the first Chairman’s Cup Golf Tournament in 2008, an event benefiting the Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation. The tournament, hosted by INSAs and IRAs, raised $35,000 for the nonprofit foundation, which works to create better futures for children and families through a variety of charities.

By setting the example, these leaders demonstrate that Nouveau Riche isn’t only about work. It’s also about enjoying the time spent in building their futures and fulfilling dreams for members and their families. INSAs and IRAs willingly and generously serve as role models, mentoring others through their words and actions. Whether it is friends sharing laughs and ideas over burgers or leaders taking a new ISA under their friendly wing, everybody wins. “Traveling and vacationing is one thing,” INSA Jeff Thompson says. “Doing it together with Six-Figure Contest winners who deserve it—that’s special. The trip with our Mexico-cruise winners added another level to the story of community in Nouveau Riche. It’s a story everyone needs to be a part of.”
